BIRMINGHAM, MICH., May 18, 2010 – The Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber is seeking volunteers to assist with traffic and parking at the 47th Annual Birmingham Village Fair, June 3 – June 6. As a thank you for volunteering, at the completion of their shift each volunteer will receive one complimentary wristband voucher for unlimited rides during the approved times at the fair.
The four-day event includes entertainment, carnival rides, games and food. Due to the construction in Shain Park, the fair will be held in the street of South Old Woodward in downtown Birmingham between Bowers St. and Landon St.
“Volunteering a few hours at the fair is a great opportunity to support the community. With the temporary new location in the street of South Old Woodward, we welcome the help directing families and friends to the fun,” stated Carrie Zarotney, president of the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber.
Fair hours are: Thursday, June 3 from 12 to 10 p.m.; Friday, June 4 from 12 to 11 p.m.; Saturday, June 5 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, June 6 from 12 to 9 p.m.
